Escapades Behind The Scenes

Many things go on with the American government’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan that never is reported or sees the light of day. But once in awhile some outlandish episode does see the light of day, and the following story is one of them.

Some private security guards were hired to protect the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, which everyone can realize is an important assignment. Well, as the photos showed so graphically, the guards were doing so much more than protecting the embassy. And what they were doing at the guard camp and elsewhere were so embarrassing and perhaps very damaging to U.S. interests in Afghanistan. It also gives the native Muslims a very, very bad image of American officials and their efforts there.

The photos taken at the U.S. Embassy show the following conduct of the private security guards. They failed to realize that maybe their gravely immoral and sexual misconduct would later be found out. As everything eventually turned out, their escapades have been revealed to the whole world through the Internet. The photos and reports show and tell about the security guards in various stages of nudity and activities at drunken parties. Photos show guards lingering in lewd behavior and grave misconduct. The misconduct included many out of control parties and guards and supervisors frequenting brothels.

The behaviour and misconduct of the security guards is not only immoral, embarrassing, sick, and dehumanizing, it can cause very damaging consequences for our forces their in Afghanistan and seriously undermine the whole mission. It definitely gives the Muslims something bad to talk about in regards to American officials. It also gives Americans at home in America and in other countries elsewhere the opportunity to scratch their heads and wonder what else that is negative and going on with American efforts elsewhere. It is definitely something to wonder and think about.

This whole episode has given the whole world, and especially the Muslims, a very, very bad image of Americans no matter how anyone looks at this matter. It is another huge criticism and black eye for America and her concerned citizens.
