Intrusive Liberal Arrogance

America is basically a free society. The on-going question is for how long will America´s society remain free? If the U. S. Government and the court systems have more of their own way, the answer is not very long. Many daily freedoms have been lost just during the past eleven years alone. More are simmering on the front burner just waiting for the stroke of a pen by the U. S. Government and the result of the court actions by liberal judges.

Since the year 20001 the American government’s pen strokes have been numerous. All of that plus the decisions of very liberal judges has been very intrusive in a very arrogant way. All of it has been under the erroneous impression that it is never ending intrusive and arrogant adventure.

Hooters restaurants are famous for their scantily clad and immodestly dressed waitresses. The NOW organization (National Organization For Women) wants Hooters to stop serving children and pre-teens because Hooters gives a bad image to children. That is true about the image, but it is up to the parents to use good thinking and judgment and not take their children to those places. NOW´s interference is not needed and shows very liberal arrogance.

Common sense and research results tell us that smoking cigarettes is addictive and very bad for health in many ways. But that does not give the government the right to make it a target for our own good. But the government has done just that: warning labels; increasingly higher cigarette taxes; smoke free public places. Now, the arrogant liberals want to prohibit smoking in apartments and other private property. That is very intrusive, indeed.

A long time ago the government mandated helmets had to be worn by all bicycle and motorcycle riders. It is sensible to do so, but the choice should up to the rider and not the government.

In Oregon State a 7-year-old girl had to dismantle her lemonade stand because she did not have a permit. She was too young to understand and was in tears as her lemonade stand had to disappear because of unmitigated liberal intrusive arrogance. In Georgia State a farmer was told to stop growing so many vegetables on his own private property. In 1999 taxpayers were not given back tax money because President Clinton said they might not spend it correctly. And in 2010 the Obama care health care mandate started as people wanted it to or not, again for our own good. All of this is typical liberal intrusiveness and arrogance.

America is still a free society, but it becomes less free as time passes. Now, the time has come. What the arrogant liberals need to realize is this? When a free society lets some people tell others what to do and is best for their own good, that society is no longer free.Perio.!
