Corruption in High Places

In the United States the counter-culture generation (Boomers) is not only suffering the results of the economic meltdown because of their clueless thinking and behavior, they are suffering the very hurtful sting of corruption in very high places. And it is biting them very hard.

Corruption means the engagement in dishonest and/or immoral behavior. And the Boomers seem to be masters of that kind of behavior. Corruption is flourishing in the America culture as the new century progresses. The corrupted ones engage in their outrages behavior as if they will never be caught, but to happily state, many are being caught and in very high places.

The trial of America´s sheriff, Mike Corona, ended in a conviction of witness tampering. The governor of Illinois was recently impeached. The governor of New Mexico had to withdraw his name as a candidate to high office in Obama´s administration. Two other appointees to high offices in Obama´s administration were found to have not paid their taxes over a long period of time. The governor of New York had to resign because of immoral behavior. The mayor of Los Angeles has been found to use only 11% of his time to mayoral duties. In the Catholic Church the child sex abuse scandal is involving many among the clergy. And the beat goes on and on.

Since the new century started corruption has increased greatly. In the United States alone during the years 2007 and 2008 fingers are beig pointed in many different directions. Corruption has always been with us, but during the past two years corruption has come to light increasingly so. And finally, it is not being shoved under the rug and overlooked. And as more and more corruption is being found, the very foul odor permeating the American culture leaves the morally correct and aware citizens of the United States very upset and saddened. But only a little though on their part, the morally correct and aware citizens can correctly assume that Boomer behavior is a normal and natural way of their everyday lives. Corruption is okay. Just do not get caught in the act.
