It is not a coincidence that the demand for Catholic exorcisms increased a great deal since 1965 and during the 1970´s and 1980´s. And now, 2007, the demand is even greater still. Prior to 1965 daily life was more orderly and spiritual and Godly.

Remember the counter culture movement started shortly after the assassination of John F. Kennedy and our involvement in the Vietnam War during the middle 1960´s and was in full bloom during the 1970´s and 1980´s. This movement radically changed cultural thinking and activity in the United States during this time and spread elsewhere during this time also. The motto was throw out the old thinking and morality and bring in the new. This motto directly affected matters spirituality, also. As a result the door became wide open for evil and demonic activity, because the counter culture movement was grounded in evil.

The “new” introduced the allowance of legal abortion, sinful sex, divorce became common, use of all kinds of dope, apostasy, rock´n roll music and became wide spread.

God took second place, and Godly type living became less and less. And us this gained more and more momentum in the United States, in spread to other countries and their cultures also.

Throwing God out of our lives, allowing God and Godly type living to became less and less relevant in our lives opened the door very widely to allow Satan and his lessor demons to step in and influence our lives. Evil has gained unprecedented momentum and status at this a point in time. Demonic influence has become very prevalent and, therefore, the need for catholic exorcisms. This need has increased eight to nine-hundred percent. And many demonically possessed or influenced persons have realized that the need in there in their lives.

Although the effects of the counter culture movement continues to live on and most likely will never be eliminated, our only hope is exorcisms will be more helpful during the passing of time. Only a return to God and Godly type living is the real answer. It is the only answer.
