No Lessons Learned

It is happening now with great regularity, and those who pay close daily attention to mass media reports realize that American men do not learn any lessons from each other's grievous mistakes. That is a proven fact. It is like American men do not care who wears the dunce caps, especially during the last several years, and most recently during the past three years. Several of the dunce caps have been resting recently on some very well-known heads because of their very immoral transgressions that have made headlines in the print media and on TV.
The immoral transgressions referred to here are immoral sex that men seem to revel in on a very regular basis. Men simply do not realize that immoral sex as single or married man is a taylor-made noose that ends up around their necks are strangles their careers. Immoral sex is never a winning situation.
Immoral sex knows no boundaries. The guilty include politicians, policemen, priests, ministers, school teachers, athletes, and famous celebrities to name a few. They are the ones spotlighted in the news media.
Political sex scandals seem to dominate. From Jan.1998 to June 2011 there were ten political sex scandals. Two of them have come to light recently in 2011: former Calif. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rep. Anthony Weiner, N.Y.
Away from politics several policemen have been involved. One policeman followed waitress to her car, forced his way inside, and committed forcible immoral sex. In his haste to leave her car, he forgot his cell phone. Bingo! His career is over and a prison term awaits him. Other policemen have offered and engaged in immoral sex in place of issuing a traffic citation. Law suits have been brought by four young men against a pastor in Georgia, who is accused of sexual misconduct. Everyone by now knows of the child sex abuse by Catholic priests and the sordid immoral sex outside of marriage that ruined the life of Tiger Woods and hurt his golf game. And there is the sad case of the Garridos who are now in prison for a long time because of their involvement in immoral sex. The episode with Charlie Sheen has put him in the immoral sex hall of fame along with Tiger Woods and Anthony Weiner.
Immoral sex is epidemic now in America because of internet pornography and the fact that women very often initiate it. People only know about the cases that end up in the media spotlight and the court system. What is so puzzling is that so many men do not learn any lessons from them, especially men in high places or prominent positions and positions of trust (clergy, ministers, teachers, policemen). So many careers are ruined. So much character is tragically blemished. The only answer seems to be because dunce caps are quite available there will always be dunces (men) eager to wear them.
