Our Two Lives

There are very many great evils plaguing the cultures of the modern world. At the top of the list of them all is the horrendous evil of unnecessary and premeditated abortions every year in America alone. Each time one of them takes place the words of Jesus can be repaired, “Heavenly Father, forgive them for they know not what they do”. The word them includes the man and women who make the abortion decisions and the medical people who perform them.
The words of Jesus are so inclusive. First of all, the abortion terminates the physical existence of an innocent and helpless earthly life that was ordained by God to begin at the moment it was murdered. However, the great evil includes much more. When the earthly life abruptly ends so do the talents God has planned for that life also comes to an end. That is the second great evil. When God orders a life to begin, no human being should unnecessarily interfere through abortion. The third great evil is the fact that the planned destiny by God abruptly also ends. That is another great injustice. Only God knows great destinies were stopped when the Germans killed Jews. We might now have a cure for cancer or some other fatal disease if that did not happen.
Abortion not only ends God´s plan for earthly life. It also effects eternal life. Yes, we all have an eternal life that is determined by the kind of earthly life one leads. It can be a happy one or an unhappy one. At least we know that the murdered baby´s surely will be a happy one with its creator.
Many doctors refuse to perform abortions. They do so because they know better and believe in earthly and eternal destinies. Doctors that think all ends when we die do not hesitate to perform abortions. They do no alter their scientific beliefs, and that is in the face of very new scientific research and beliefs.
A very famous pediatrician, Melvin Morse, was an arrogant, insensitive, and very skeptical doctor in his early practicing years, when one day a nine-year-old girl patient of his had a long near-death experience. He asked her about her NDE. When she told him her story he laughed and told her it was just a dream. Without being offended the girl patted him on the shoulder and said, “Don´t worry, doctor, someday you´ll know heaven is fun”. Doctor Morse could not believe she was with her heavenly Father. Soon after that a fellow doctor friend also had a NDE. He believed as doctor Morse did, but after his NDE his mind was changed forever, because his experience was very much the same as Morse´s girl patient. The started the transformations: the many true scientific conclusions.
The conclusions are several. The NDE is real. God is real. We have two lives (earthly and eternal). There is always a transformation for the better that last a lifetime. There are two kinds of eternal lives. One is unhappy. The people involved in abortions need to realize this, it´s the prayers of so many that it is sooner, very, very much sooner than later.
