The Line Is Blady Blurred
By
Roger Behra
As Father Malachai Martin, exorcist extraordinary and author, stressed so often in his best-selling book, Hostage to the Devil, nobody is immune from the lifelong battle of good vs. evil. Father Martin also stressed that wherever evil exists, therein Satan and his subjects. He also stressed that the present day line between good and evil is very baldy blurred. It is glaringly so. And all one has to do is listen to radio news, read the print media, watch television news, or listen to radio talk shows to realize that, yes, it is a true and clear fact.
Many years ago Father Martin also said that smoke Satan has entered the Catholic Church. That also seems to be a definitive fact. When Catholic bishops and priests deny that Satan exists, that there is not such thing as demonic activity or demonic possession, fuel is definitely added to the fire.
As a result the blurring of the line between God´s and Satan´s evil keeps growing. Rarely, if ever, will a homily help the Mass attendees to hear an emphatic distinction between good and evil. (Abortion is an exception). Silence and the lack of word for word emphasis on good acts vs. evil acts; rarely, if ever, are the Ten Commandments ever mentioned or connected to evil acts.
Silence from the Vatican, bishops, and priests are the smoke of Satan that Father Martin said has entered the Catholic Church. The Catholic clergy avoid any pre-1964 type homilies for fear of offending their parishioners and chasing them away to another religion. As a result the blurring never vanishes.
Satan loves that approach, and as a result it is very apparent in our American culture that demonic activity and demonic possession have alarmingly increased and are quite evident in our modern culture. In the northeastern part of the United States alone demonic possession since 1970 has increased 700% to 800%. To make matters worse, the number of exorcists has declined dramatically, which means that many in need of an exorcism will never be able to get one. And only sanctioned Catholic exorcism will remedy a demonic possession.
When the definitive line between good vs. evil, was emphatically left out of homilies in the Catholic Church, the silence slowly but surely crept into Catholic parishioner’s lives. It is a factor in the great apostasy that has afflicted the Catholic Church in modern times.
Evil is so clearly present in American culture today, and any turning back to better times seems to be out of the question. The horrendous crimes and increase in suicides bears out that fact, as well as all the lessor crimes that are revealed on a daily basis. Satan was given 100 years to roam freely throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls, and he has certainly used those years to his advantage very well, indeed.
